Eatable partnered with The Stop Community Food Centre to create a short film that captures the energy and hope of their community garden and urban agriculture projects. The Stop is committed to giving people access to land, providing an opportunity for them to share their skills, connect with their neighbours and ultimately, create profound social change within their communities.
The film premiered at the 13th edition of The Stop’s annual gala fundraiser, What’s on the Table? held at the AGO in November 2017. All funds raised support The Stop’s critical food access and community-building programs, and many of the City’s top chefs participate. The film was screened during the Live Auction portion of the evening. The response was immediate. Live auction contributions increased when the audience saw what their money could do.
